Memocards stores most of your data locally on your device using SQLite database:

• Learning Profiles: Your name, chosen learning languages, and learning preferences
• Vocabulary Data: Words you've added, their meanings, progress tracking, and quiz results
• App Settings: Your preferences and configuration choices
• Learning Progress: Statistics about your learning sessions and word mastery levels

Information We Collect

When you use our word import feature, we collect:

• Device ID: A unique identifier for your device (used to prevent abuse of our word import service)
• Language Preferences: Your selected learning and native languages
• Topic Selections: Which vocabulary topics you choose to import

How We Use Your Information

Local Data Processing

Your learning data is processed entirely on your device to:

• Track your vocabulary learning progress
• Provide personalized quiz sessions
• Remember your preferences and settings
• Generate learning statistics and insights

Server Communication

We only communicate with our servers when you:

• Import new vocabulary topics
• Download pre-made word collections

This communication includes your device ID, selected languages, and chosen topics to provide relevant vocabulary content.

Data Storage and Security

Your personal learning data remains on your device and is not uploaded to our servers. We implement appropriate security measures to protect any data transmitted during vocabulary imports.

Third-Party Services

Memocards uses the following third-party services:

• Capacitor Plugins: For native mobile functionality (audio, device features)
• Translation Services: For offline translation capabilities (processed locally)

Children's Privacy

Memocards is suitable for users of all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

Data Retention and Deletion

Your local data remains on your device until you:

• Delete the app
• Clear the app's data
• Manually delete your profiles and vocabulary

Server-side data (device IDs and usage statistics) is retained only as long as necessary for service provision and abuse prevention.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access and export your learning data
• Delete your local profiles and vocabulary
• Request deletion of any server-side data associated with your device
• Use the app entirely offline (except for vocabulary imports)

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the effective date and, if significant changes are made, by providing additional notice within the app.
