Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Memocards mobile application ("App") developed by Hardmode ("we," "our," or "us"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

License and Use

License Grant

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Memocards for your personal, non-commercial language learning purposes.

Permitted Use

You may use Memocards to:

• Create and manage vocabulary learning profiles
• Add, study, and track your vocabulary progress
• Import vocabulary topics from our content library
• Use the app's quiz and learning features
• Export your learning data for personal backup

Prohibited Use

You may not:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Attempt to extract the source code
• Create derivative works based on the App
• Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Abuse our vocabulary import service or attempt to circumvent usage limits
• Share, distribute, or resell vocabulary content obtained through the App

Intellectual Property

Memocards and all related trademarks, copyrights, and intellectual property rights remain the exclusive property of Hardmode. The vocabulary content provided through our import service is licensed for your personal learning use only.

App Functionality

Core Features

Memocards provides:

• Local vocabulary storage and management
• Spaced repetition learning system
• Progress tracking and statistics
• Multiple language support
• Audio pronunciation features
• Offline learning capabilities

Content Import Service

Our vocabulary import feature allows you to download curated word collections. This service:

• Requires an internet connection
• May have usage limitations to prevent abuse
• Is provided on a best-effort basis
• May be temporarily unavailable for maintenance

Data and Privacy

Your learning data is stored locally on your device. When using the vocabulary import feature, we collect minimal data (device ID, language preferences) to provide the service and prevent abuse. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for detailed information.

Device Requirements

Internet and Data Usage

While Memocards works offline for most features, internet connectivity is required for:

• Importing new vocabulary topics
• Downloading audio pronunciations
• App updates

You are responsible for any data charges incurred through your mobile carrier when using internet-dependent features.

Disclaimer of Warranties

Memocards is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. While we strive to ensure accuracy in our vocabulary content and app functionality, we cannot guarantee:

• 100% accuracy of translations or definitions
• Uninterrupted app operation
• Compatibility with all device configurations
• Permanent availability of all features

Limitation of Liability

We shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from:

• Use or inability to use the App
• Data loss due to device failure or app malfunction
• Inaccuracies in vocabulary content
• Interruption of service

Updates and Modifications

We may update Memocards to:

• Add new features
• Fix bugs and improve performance
• Ensure compatibility with new operating system versions
• Update vocabulary content

You agree to accept updates when available. We may discontinue support for older app versions or operating systems.

Termination

These Terms remain in effect until terminated. We may terminate your license to use Memocards if you violate these Terms. Upon termination:

• Your right to use the App ceases immediately
• You should delete the App from your device
• Your local data remains on your device until manually deleted

For technical support, questions about features, or to report issues, please contact us. We provide support on a best-effort basis and cannot guarantee response times.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated through the App or by email. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where Hardmode operates. Any disputes shall be resolved through appropriate legal channels in that jurisdiction.
